Lawrence and I met 16 years ago, we were a flash in love, and was one of those meetings that literally changes your life. ('E così che sono finita a Milano, anche se a Milano -orrore!- non c'era il mare e né la luce intensa di Lisbona, e il cielo era sempre così grigio che ho colorato i vetri delle finestre della nostra prima casa insieme per poter, per qualche attimo, illudermi al risveglio ogni mattina...).
Lorenzo mi manca e mi è sempre più difficile farlo ridere, fare le battute e tirargli su il morale, mentre al telefono fingiamo non capire lo sconforto e l'angoscia che entrambi tentiamo camuffare.
E è così che, alla faccia del mio smisurato senso del privato, dopo queste due infinite settimane, sono finita a scrivere di Lorenzo e di me pubblicamente (hai visto, Miranda, all'aria tutti i miei pudori... e 1 a 0 per la squadra dei cuori). Sarà anche la stanchezza dopo tutti questi giorni ad inventarmi una tranquillità inesistente davanti a mia figlia, a farle credere che suo padre non ci sarà con noi a Pasqua per colpa dei ritardi in un film che sta girando nel deserto di Dubai (e pensare che ci siamo stati i tre, insieme, poco più di un anno fa...).
Si, sono "la madre della figlia di Lorenzo". E se la storia tra noi due è troppo "nostra" per che possa voler dividerla con voi ( à' Lollo!...ti avrei perdonato anche senza tutto 'sto pubblico macello...!), voglio dire qui di Lorenzo come padre, e di quanto lo ami mia figlia.

Le autorità governative e diplomatiche italiane devono riportarlo a casa per tutto questo e devono riportarlo in fretta perché Lorenzo lì non mangia, perché Lorenzo sta male.
